About

Kunsthuis [arthouse] is an independent commercial gallery first established 10 years ago by Dutch born Cecile Creemers. It quickly developed its reputation through a series of ambitious exhibitions. These were curated around socially relevant themes including ’Our Earth’, an exhibition on climate change which was nominated for various national awards. Cecile’s work with Kunsthuis has given her a large number of contacts across all areas of artistic production and this expertise is at the heart of her consultancy work. Cecile offers a programme of coaching and guidance for artists to help them develop their practice and promote their professional career.

Kunsthuis has now relocated to Thirsk and whilst Cecile will continue to work as a consultant and curator, she will also launch a series of workshops and mentoring sessions in life drawing and abstraction.

Working in small groups or one-to-one sessions and based on her own artistic practice [under the persona of CM Robertina] her approach will combine technical knowhow with guidance on developing a unique artistic style that represents the artist’s own engagement with the world.

Cecile also works as a life model and will use this experience to run empowerment coaching sessions. The aim of these personalised one-to-one sessions is to empower women by giving them the self-confidence to articulate the stories told through their own bodies.

Kunsthuis is the studio of artist and life model CM Robertina and will showcase her new works on a regular basis in dedicated exhibitions.
